ANNUAL REUNION Mr C. Travis (president) was in the chair at the annual reunion of the Hamp-den-branch of the Returned Services’ Association on Saturday night. The speaker for tile evening was Mr Peter Mclntyre, the official war artist to the 2nd N.Z.E.F., who recalled some of his experiences on service in the Middle East and Italy. The following toast list was honoured:— Combined Services ” (Mr R. Patterson— Rev. I. G. Ryburn); “South African Veterans” (Mr H. Mursell—Mr P. Malthus), “Visitors” (Mr F. Hampton—Mr A C. Piper, Oamaru); Mr J. McCone, Maheno; Mr G. Park, Palmerston); “Amputees” (Mr J. Dungey—Mr W. A. Gordon); "Friends and Helpers" (Mr J. Dungey—Mr G. Martin); “Stewards and Performers ” (Mr D. Gunion—Mr H. Mursell). Items were contributed by Messrs G. Adams, E. Congalton, O. Carter, G. Martin, and G. Swann.
