OCCASIONAL SHOWERS Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation.—An anti-cyclone is northeast of New Zealand, while a depression in the North Tasman Sea is moving south-eastwards. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Moder-ate south-westerly winds; weather cloudy and cold, with occasional showers, but gradually improving. Further Outlook.—Fair, though cold. Weather in Dunedin.—Showers of rain fell throughout yesterday, and the sky was overcast all day. Temperatures were mild, however, the maximum being 53.8 degrees and the minimum 43.3 degrees. A total of 0.53 in of rain fell yesterday. A light southerly breeze changed during the afternoon to a light westerly. Barometric pressure fell during the morning, but was rising last night. The reading at midnight was 30.00 in (1016 millibars).
