PROFESSIONAL WRESTLING
BLOMFIELD’S TITLE (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Oct. 17. Notable for its speed and lively action, the match for the heavy-weight wrestling championship of Australia and New Zealand in the Town Hall to-night between “ Lofty ” Blomfield and George Pencheff was won by EJlomfield by two falls to one. The match was generally accepted by the packed house as well worthy of the title event. Pencheff gained his fall after the use of his popular drop kick, which left Blomfield groggy for some time. The latter was unable to manoeuvre into position for his favourite octopus clamp because of Pencheff’s speed, and he gained both his falls after using jolts and dumps.
