REMOVAL OF CONTROLS URGED (Rec. 8 p.m.) NEW YORK, Oct. 15. The American Federation of Labour convention at Chicago decided to call on the Administration to remove immediately all wage and price controls except those on rents. The A.F.L. has been a strong supporter of the O.PA., but a policy statement adopted to-day said that the present wage control system was too weak and inconsistent to be of much worth to the workers.
