ASSAULT CHARGE
MAORI'S SERIOUS WOUND (P.A.) WHANGAREI, Oct 2.. With a wound in his right shoulder, believed to have been caused by a blow from an axe, a Maori farm hand, Paki Hou, aged 27, was admitted to the Whangaroa Hospital, where his condition is reported to be satisfactory. His sister-in-law, Mete Hou, aged 34, was charged in court with assault, causing actual bodily harm, and was remanded to October 7.
