IMPREST SUPPLY

BILL BEFORE THE HOUSE iFvom Our Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, Aug. 30. The question of the ownership of the lump sum produce payments made by the United Kingdom Government was argued, during the Imprest Supply Eili debate in the House of Representatives to-day. Opposition members claimed that these payments were the property of the farmer, and that they should be placed to his credit. The Bill covered the two and a-hall' months period from September 1 to the middle of November, and granted supply totalling £28.702.250 to the State departments. The House rose at 5.13 p.m. until 2.30 p.m. on Tuesday, when the financial debate will be resumed.
