CLOUDY ON THE COAST Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation. An anti-cyclone is centred to the south-east of the South Island and covers New Zealand. Forecast up to 5 p.m. To-day.— Light, variable winds and fine weather inland; moderate or fresh north-east-erlies, and weather fair to cloudy on the coast; temperatures cold. Further Outlook.—Similar conditions. Weather in Dunedin. —Periods of sunshine alternated with an overcast sky in Dunedin yesterday, the total sunshine recorded being three hours. A keen north-east breeze kept temperatures low, and the maximum during the day was 42.9 degrees. The minimum was 33.3 degrees, and the grass minimum 29.8 degrees. The barometer, which was at a high level, remained fairly steady, the reading at midnight being 30.39 inches (1029 millibars).
