DEBATING COMPETITION

WON BY CANTERBURY (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 30 After the members of six teams had spoken for four hours. Canterbury University College was declared {be winning team in the debating competition held at Auckland University College to decide the award of the joynt Scroll for the year. The award for the best speaker went to R. H. Bowron, of Canterbury University College, R. G. Collins, of Victoria University College, being second.
