CHANGES PROBABLE CORRESPONDENT’S PREDICTION (Rec. 1 a.m.) LONDON, Aug. 30. Circumstances have imposed on Mr Attlee the necessity for reconstruction of the Government, says the Manchester Guardian’s parliamentary correspondent, who predicts that changes will be announced in October. Labour members,-as well as the Conservatives, realise that at least two Ministers are inadequate. The War Office has proved a little too much for Mr J. J. Lawson and transport requires a stronger personality than Mr A. Barnes. Mr George Hall is not sufficiently strong to deal with such problems as Palestine, but may be reprieved because the Foreign Office is handling that difficulty. Mr Bevin health is reasonably good and Mr Attlee does not need to find a new Foreign Secretary. Sir Stafford Cripps and Miss Ellen Wilkinson have found illness a handicap. Labourites are not sure of Lord Wmster's principles of Socialism.
