PARTIAL RESTORATION
SYDNEY'S TRANSPORT SERVICES (Rec! 8.30 p.m.) SYDNEY,. Aug. 28. After three months of transport restrictions due to coal shortages, normal tram service are to be restored on Friday, and from Monday off-peak train services to the suburbs will be half-hourly instead of hourly, as at present. In announcing the partial lifting of the restrictions, the Minister of Transport, Mr M. O’Sullivan, said that country trains would be restored as soon a 6 coal stocks permitted. The railways now hold coal equal to a week's consumption. Meanwhile convoys of motor lorries are bringing wool from country centres to the Sydney auctions. The Bill to set up a joint State and Commonwealth coal board is now under discussion in the State Parliament. The Bill is substantially similar to one recently passed bv the Federal Parliament-
