CLUTHA VALLEY

PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH ANNUAL MEETING The interim moderator, the Rev. G. E. Brown, of Stirling, presided over a good attendance at the annual meeting of the Clutha Valley Presbyterian Church. The report of the session was presented by Mr D. Blair, who referred to the death of their minister, the Rev. W. McNeur. He spoke of the affection that Mr McNeur had commanded from his parishioners, and extended on behalf of the congregation sympathy to his relatives. In spite of difficulties the spiritual work of the church had been well maintained. The average attendance at -Communion numbered 60. Student supply had been greatly appreciated, and arrangements were in hand for permanent supply during the summer vacancy. The reports of the separate organisations were presented as follows Missionary Unions: Clydevale (Mrs McCleary), Tuapeka Mouth (Miss Bennie); Wharetoa Busy Bees (Miss Tunnah), Sunday schools (Miss R. Stirling); Bible classes (Miss R. Stirling). During the evening items were given bv the following:—Songs: Miss D. Weir. Miss Stewart, Miss Wyaght, Mrs N. Steel, Mrs J. May; trio, Messrs E. Brown and D. Weir and the Rev. Mr Brown.
