MAHENO BOWLING CLUB

ANNUAL MEETING Mr H. Robb occupied the chair at the annual meeting of the Maheno Bowling Club. The balance sheet showed the club to be in a sound financial position. . The president thanked the Bowling Centre for its donation, the Phoenix Bowling Club for the use of its green for the annual flour day, and the Clark Milling Company for contributing prizes. The club competitions were keenly contested, and were won by the following:— Colts' singles, J. Neill; handicap singles, J. Lindsay; champion singles, G. Hill; champion pairs, J. Marcks and A. H. Watson; champion fours —W. Yorston, J Marcks, W. McLennan, and A. G. Clark. The following officers were elected:— Patrons—Colonel J. C. Nichols, Messrs A C Nichols C. Nichols, and H. Andrews: club president, Mr A. G. Clark; secretary and treasurer Mr J. Marcks; delegate to centre Mr ,N. Colquhoun; vice-presidents, Messrs G. S. Clark and H. Robb; committee—Messrs W. Yorston. J. Lindsay, A. H Watson, C. M Clark, R. C. Wilson, J. Neill, G. Hill, W McLennan. A. Glen. Last Tuesday an enjoyable social evening was held, when Mr A. G. Clark presented trophies.
