NAVY LEAGUE NOTES

Members of the Girls Auxiliary packed 101 gift parcels last week. Parcels contained soap (in tins), chocolate, handkerchiefs, a n d many articles made and given by the girls themselves. They were wrapped in coloured paper, with, on the outside of each, a message saying for what age girl or boy it was suitable. With other

gifts from members and friends, there are now packed in a case ready for despatch overseas 144 Christmas parcels for children (orphans) of British seamen. Some excellent contributions of tinned goods have recently been received from country friends Several of these have had no indication as to who are the donors The chairman likes to acknowledge these gifts as soon as possible, so would be grateful if the names and addresses of -luo - 'is* of contents could be enclosed in or on each parcel. Those sending dripping should always state the fact on the outside of the case and label the tins if other tinned goods accompany the dripping.
