“OFFICE TO FARM”

Sir,—l wish to state how I appreciate the series of articles, “ Office to Farm,” appearing in your Wednesday’s issue, and I would like to congratulate the contributor of the article on his presentation of farm life from the " new chum’s ” point of view and on his keen sense of humour. Despite his ” greenness ” it is obvious that he has a lot of commonsense, and I ain sure that it will not be long before he is a competent farmer.

I have been farming for o*er twenty years, but I find the articles quite entertaining and refreshing and in some ways educational. In addition, I consider it helps to improve the outlook on country life in this age of ” drifting' to the town.” —I am. etc., j. c. Central Otago, August 11.
