STATUTES FOR FEDERATION WORK OF NEW ZEALANDER (N-Z.P.A. Special Correspondent) (Rec. 9 p.m.) LONDON, Aug. 12. Mr C. C. Aikman, of Palmerston North, who, with Mr T. A. Larsen, of Ohakune, represented New Zealand at the recent conference of United Nations’ Associations at Luxembourg, was largely responsible for the draft statutes unanimously adopted at the plenary session at which it was decided to form a world federation. As rapporteur of the Drafting Committee, he presented the statutes to the plenary session, and his work wsa highly praised. It was decided to form as many associations as possible in countries which are members of the United Nations. The federation will be independent of parties and politics. Its objective is the encouragement of interna-tional-mindedness and the spirit of world citizenship. Mr Aikman is now in Prague attending a congress of international students.
