LONDON, Aug. 11. Field-marshal Montgomery will tomorrow begin “ operation evolution,” one of the most important War Office operations ever conducted in peacetime. when at Camberley he will discuss offensive warfare with 96 highranking army officers—the biggest assembly ever of senior officers, says the Daily Express. Those present will include two field-marshals, five generals, 20 lieutenant-generals, and 20 majorgenerals. The discussions will continue until August 17. Mr Attlee will attend on August 14 or 15. instead of the War Minister (Mr J. J. Lawson), who is recovering from an operation.
