IRON DUKE FOR SHIPBREAKERS (Rec. 1 a.m.) LONDON. Aug 12. Lord Jellicoe’s flagship, the Iron Duke, which was recently salvaged at Scapa Flow, will be the first major scrapping job at a port specially developed as a salvage base at Garfloch, on the Clyde, reports Lloyds. Metal Industries, Ltd., has taken over the Faslane military port with a 32,000-ton floating dock. The second major job will be the breaking up of the German battleship Dedfflinger. which will shortly be towed to the Clyde in the inverted position in which she was salvaged in 1939-
