OTAGO WOMEN’S CLUB

The Poetry Circle of the Otago Women's Club met last Tuesday, when Mrs Roberts presided. Extracts from various numbers of ” The Poetry Review ” were the subject for the afternoon. ” The Survival of Rupert Brooke2” was read by Mrs Hamer, K Poetry Sounds a Warning ” by Miss Rollo, "The sphinx of English poetry, Emily Bronte,” by Miss Crow, " The Poetry of Saro Jin Naidee," by Miss Bowling, and a review of the latest number by Mrs Cowie. A special feature of the pert Brooke " was read by Mrs Hamer, of “ The Patchwork Quilt" by Ann Stuart.
