Applicants and other persons considering themselves to be materially affected by the decisions of the Bureau of Industry on these applications should, not later than August 22, submit any written evidence and representations they may' desire to tender. All communications should be addressed to Secretary, Bureau of Industry, Box 3025, Wellington. WAR MEDAL, 1939-4 5. COMPETITION FOR A DESIGN FOR THE REVERSE. Designs for the reverse of the War Medal 1939-45 are invited from artists who are British subjects. Provided that one of these is adopted, a prize of £SOO will be paid for the winning design, this fee to cover any additional work of the artist on modifications agreed with him and all rights in the design. Designs in low relief must be submit'ed in the form of plaster or similar models, preferably 6 to 8 inches in diameter, suitable for the production of a master die by machine reduction, and must reach the Royal Mint not later than December 31, 1946. . In view of the limited notice it has been possible to give to this competition, the Government of New Zealand has agreed to forward to the Royal Mint, to reach there by closing date, all entries received at the Department of Internal Affairs, Wellington, not later than October 31.
