Auckland's President The committee of the Auckland Trotting Club elected Dr M. G. Pezaro president, in the place of Mr Norman Wade, who announced his retirement from the position at the annual meeting on July 31. Messrs G W. H. Bull and W W. Massey were elected vice-presidents, and Mr Wade treasurer. Dr Pezaro was recently elected a member of the New Zealand Trotting Conference Executive. He was president of the Auckland Owners', Trainers’, and Breeders’ Association from 1934 to 1936, and was the first representative of the association elected to the Auckland Trotting Club Committee. In partnership with the late Mr E. G. Bridgens, Dr Pezaro raced a number of good horses, Including Josedale Grattan, who in 194 j won the New Zealand Trotting Cup and Free-for-Ali.
