QUESTION OF TRANSFER FEE (P.A.) AUCKLAND, Aug. 8. No finality was reached at the conference between the New Zealand Rugby League Council and the managers of the English touring team regarding the transfer fee as it applied to the engagement of players from New Zealand to English clubs. The English officials gave an assurance that the matter would be referred to the proper authorities after which a report would be submitted. An match against Auckland next Monday was agreed to.
