MINISTER CONCERNED
IMMEDIATE INVESTIGATION (P.A. WELLINGTON. Aug. 8. When . the above message was, referred to him, the Minister of Defence. Mr F. Jones, said he was not aware that certain personnel from the Chit-ral-had been put ashore to remain in New Zealand. He added that he would have an immediate investigation made of the situation, to ascertain why the men were put off the ship and the conditions under which they had to stay in New Zealand.
