FLOWN FROM AUCKLAND

A North Otago resident who had taken ill in Auckland was flown to Oamaru by a special plane yesterday. The journey took eight hours, the patient leaving the Auckland Hospital at 8.30 a.m. and arriving at the Oamaru Public Hospital at 4.40 p.m. The aircraft landed at the Hilderthorpe aerodrome, and the patient was conveyed to the hospital by the Oamaru St. John ambulance.
