WRITING FOR NEWSPAPERS

CRec. 8 p.m.) SYDNEY, July 27. Because they have accepted offers to write for English papers about the English team’s tour of Australia, W. J. O'Reilly and S. J. McCabe will be debarred from big cricket next summer, according to the Sydney Sun. In view of the fact'that he has experienced much foot trouble, there was some doubt as to whether McCabe would continue his cricket career. O’Reilly stated that he had not retired, but was being debarred under the rule which prevents representative cricketers from writing for the press.
