CONTINUING FAIR Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington Situation.—There is an anti-cyclone north-east of New Zealand, and a trough of low pressure is moving north-eastwards over the South Island. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Moder-ate northerly to north-westerly winds; some scattered showers at first, butweather mainly fair; temperatures cool. r Further Outlook.—Some showers, mainly on the coast. Weather in Dunedin.—Temperatures were somewhat cooler than those of the previous day in Dunedin yesterday, and there was a keen breeze from the nertheast. The skies were overcast, and the sunshine registered was 3hr 48min. The maximum temperature was 49 degrees, and the minimum 37.7, with a grass reading at 30 degrees. The barometer fell gradually during the afternoon, but showed a rising tendency towards midnight, when the reading was 29.75 inches (1007 millibars).
