The smallest church in New Zealand, and possibly the smallest in the world, was built by the early settlers at Oruaiti, North Auckland, In the year 1861. The preachers have been a long succession of Methodist ministers. The church was recently moved from its original site to Whangarei, where it is now used as a church museum. The building is still in good repair. The photograph shows the church on its original site.
