MONTHLY MEETING At the monthly meeting of the Gaelic Society Chief J. Lachlan Thomson was supported by Chieftains T. Stuart, W. H. McLeod, S. Macdonald, and A. Matheson. Before commencing the musical programme tlie chief welcomed members and visitors, and called on the Gaelic Choir for the usual opening contribution. "An t’larke Diurach ” and “ Tha mi sgith ’’: pinor P'uart Waldie sriect'oos on the Phiob More; Gaelic Choir J’An cluinn thu mi mo nighean donn ” and ’’ Thug mi mo lamb do'n Eileanach Miss Amy Moss, songs, “Hame o’ Mine” and ‘‘Garden of Youi Heart”; Mr Keith McKay, song. “ Bonnie Dundee ”; Miss A. Tobin, sailor s hornpipe; Mrs Tohill, songs. “ Maighdeann na h’airidh ” and “ Pulling the Sea Dulce Mrs S. McKenzie, songs. “The Lea Rig" and " In a Little Town Nearby Piper Allan Dodds, pipe selection; Miss Gladys Noonan, songs, “ Hush-a-ba Birdie ” and “ That’s All ”; Miss L. Tobin, clog dance: Mrs M. Oliver, recitation. " The Wee Wallie Dug.” Past Chief Thomas Stuart moved a vote of thanks to the performers. During the evening Piper Stuart Waldie played a lament for the late Mr A. Mclnnes. Mrs Henderson, Miss Tui Rutherford, and Miss Ellen McKinley played the accompaniments, and Pipers Stuart Waldie and Allan Dodds played the national music for Mrs Traver’s reel party.
