UNION company seeking two

Included among the 4G vessels for which Britain is applying to the American Maritime Commission are two 15knot victory-type ships which the Union Company desires to purchase, one for the New Zealand-Singaporc-India trade, the other for the transpacific service between America, and New Zealand.

The Union Company is in partnership with Canadian Pacific in the Cana-dian-Australasian Line, and when Mr J. N. Greenland, manager of the Union Company, visits Canada next month on his way back to New Zealand from Britain he will discuss the resumption of trans-Pacific-Canadian-Australasian Line sailings with the representatives of Canadian Pacific Railways. Mr Greenland hopes to leave for New Zealand from San Francisco'early ijn September
