FARMERS IN AMERICA ' NEW YORK, (Rec. 11.30 p.m.) July 5. Dr Herman Young and Dr Ralpn Ghormley. of the Mayo Clinic, told the American Medical Association that one-fourth of all the persons killejd in occupational accidents in the United States in 1944 were farmers. Deaths and injuries in agriculture were appalling, yet little was done to prevent accidents. Falls from farm machinery were the most frequent type of accident.
