FAIR TO FINE Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, was issued at 5 p.m. yesterday by. the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation. —An anti-cyclone is centred to the south-east of the South Island, and a depression Is over the northern Tasman. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Mode-rate or fresh north-east winds; weather fair to fine, but cool. Further Outlook.—Weather fair to fine. ' ■ Weather in Dunedin.—Although there was bright sunshine in Dunedin yesterday, a strong, cold wind from the north-east made conditions unpleasant. The amount of sunshine recorded was 7hr 54min, and the rainfall totalled O.Olin. The maximum temperature registered was 46.2 deg„ and the min.mum 37.9 deg, the minmum on the grass being 33.4 deg. The barometer remained high and steady, the midnight reading being 30.36 in (1028 millibars).
