NEW ZEALAND TOUR

STRONGEST SIDES TO BE FIELDED “ Nearly all the member of the team will be playing this season, but perhaps N. McPhail, J. Finlay, and myself will be retiring after the tour of New Zealand,” said Major C. K. Saxton, captain of the 2nd N.Z.E.F. Rugby team, in an interview with a Daily Times reporter yesterday. Major Saxton, who returned to Dundin on Thursday, said it was hoped that all the members of the Kiwi team would be able to tour the Dominion, and within reason the best teams would be selected, remembering always that it was desired to give everyone a game. In view of the itinerary of the team which had been published, the players would be assembled in Auckland about July 14 for six days’ training before the start of the tour. “We finished football in England* at the end of March.” he added, “and have had no training since then.”
