RUGBY FOOTBALL

TO-DAY'S MATCHES The main attraction at Carisbrook today will be the match between Southern and Zingari at 2.45, Southern is still at the head of the table, but the Zingari team has been showing improved form of late, and a bright, open game should be seen. At 1.15 the Pirates A team, which showed greatly improved form in defeating Kaikorai last week, will play Union, which will field a very solid pack of forwards and should provide keen opposition. At Bishopscourt Kaikorai will meet Training College, and this should also provide some fast football. Pirates B will meet the much-improved Varsity B side at the Univers'ty Oval, and Alhambra and Port Chalmers will meet at the Caledonian Ground. Dunedin will meet Taieri at Mosgiel, and as both sides have been playing good football, this also should be a bright, interesting game.
