SCATTERED COASTAL SHOWERS Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours,'-'tfas-iSdued at 5 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation.—There is a trough of low pressure to the east and an anticyclone over Victoria. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Mode-rate or fresh south-west winds; weather mainly fair inland, but scattered showers near the coast; temperatures cold. Weather in Dunedin—A cold snap was again experienced in Dunedin yesterday following the milder conditions of the previous day. There was a keen breeze from the north-west, and brief showers fell in the morning. No sunshine was recorded. The maximum temperature was 45.1 deg and the minimum 44.6, with a grass minimum of 35.4.. After falling steadily, the barometer rose sharply at 9 a.m. and continued to climb, the midnight reading being 29.90 in (1012 millibars).
