TIRED OF FUSS
LONDON VICTORY PARADE CAPTAIN UPHAM REACHES SYDNEY (Rec. 11 p.m.) SYDNEY, May 27. Captain C. H. Upham, V.C. and bar. arrived in Sydney by flying boat from New Zealand to-day on his way to England for the Victory Parade on June 8. Captain Upham said that he had not wanted to go to London for the parade because he was too busy on his farm, but he had been prevailed upon to do so by the Prime Minister. Mr P. Fraser. “I am sick of crowds and the fuss that people make over my decorations,” he said. The New Zealand High Commissioner, Mr J. G. Barclay, met Captain Upham at the flying boat base at Rose Bay. Captain Upham will leave for England by a Lancastrian airliner tomorrow. night.
