FIRE IN CITY GARAGE A fire in a motor truck in the garage of M. Stevenson and Co., Ltd., Willis street, was extinguished before the arrival of the City Fire Brigade, which received the call at 7.45 a.m. yesterday. There were ab.out 20 trucks in the garage at the time, and serious damage might have been caused but for the timely discovery of the’ fire. At 9.43 a.m. the brigade responded to an automatic false alarm from the pre-. mises of the Rehabilitation Department in Anzac highway.
