VISIT TO DUNEDIN

LORD AND LADY LOUIS MOUNTBATTEN PROGRAMME ARRANGED Admiral Lord Louis Mountbatten and Lady Mountbatten will arrive in Dunedin on Tuesday morning. They are due at the Taieri aerodrome by air at 11.30 a.m., and will be met by the Mayor (Mr D. C. Cameron). They will then proceed by car to Wain’s Hotel. Lord Louis Mountbatten will' be entertained by the Overseas League and Royal Empire Society at a function in the Somerset Lounge in the afternoon, and Lady Louis will pay a visit to the Red Cross Convalescent Home at Montecillo. Lord Louis Mountbatten will meet representatives of the Dunedin Returned Services’ Association in the Concert Chamber at 5 p.m. 1 A civic reception will be tendered the distinguished visitors in the Main Town Hall at 8 p.m. The Mayor will be supported in his welcome by Mr J. Sutherland Ross, representing the Navy League, and Mr H. P. Jefcoate, president of the Dunedin Returned Services’ Association. A musical programme has been arranged, and items will be given by the Dunedin Highland Pipe Band. Vocal solos will be given by Mr R. J. Laurenson and Miss Valda McCracken, and organ solos by Professor V. E. Galway. Lord and Lady Louis Mountbatten will leave for Christchurch at 10.30 a.m. on Wednesday. .. ;
