The following telegram was sent on Wednesday to the Mayor (Mr D. C. Cameron) and Cr L. J. Ireland at the Municipal Conference, Christchurch:— “At a meeting of the Dunedin Social Credit Association the following resolution was carried:—This association asks you to reconsider the remit passed by the city council which would take away the right of individuals who reside in the City of Dunedin to decide whether or not. they would sanction a proposal to raise a loan for any purpose whatsoever.’ —R. S. Andrew, secretary.”
