MANAWATU MEETING
PROSPECTS FOR TO-MORROW (Special) WELLINGTON, Mar. 28. The outlook is favourable for the second day of the Manawatu Racing Club’s autumn meeting at Awapuni on Saturday. The track has remained in good order throughput the week and should provide excellent going. There are many fresh horses and the Autumn Plate for maidens will be run in two divisions. Betting is win and place and the following may be well supported:— 11.30: Kairanga Hurdles.—Voltaire, Red Glare, Peach King. 12.12: Autumn Plate.—First Division—Culloden Moor, Flying Dink. Carmelita. Second division—Supreme. Buldana, Tomahawk. 12.57: Tamatete Handicap.—Battle Dance, Lady Spiral, Peter’s Choice. 1.42: Cloverlea Nursery Handicap.— Dancing Girl. Flying Robin, Sea Fury. 2.27: Awapuni Gold Cup.—Financial. 3.12: Te Wanaka Handicap.—Merry Robin, Gardane, Court Judge. 3.57: Longburn Handicap.—Derryogue. Gigli, Arco. 4.45: Lockwood Handicap.—Dutch Mary. Colopier, Gaystock.
