GOSENKO IN CUSTODY

OTTAWA. Feb. 39. The Ottawa Morning Journal says that Ivor Gosenko is among those held for questioning. Gosenko is detained with some 26 Canadians. He disapE eared early one morning last Septemer when a mounted squad,- working with the Ottawa Police, found four Russians ransacking his appartment, while he hid across the hall in a friend’s rooms. The events of that morning set in motion a spy hunt which remained under cover until the mounted police began anti-espionage raids around the capital on Friday. Only about 12 of the Canadians held were directly implicated in the spy ring, the balance being detained as material witnesses.
