RAGLAN BY-ELECTION
TWO CANDIDATES ONLY The Raglan by-election, which was necessitated by the death 6f Mr R. Coulter, M.P., will be a clear-cut issue between the National and Labour Parties. Nominations, which closed with the returning officer at Hamilton, Mr*H. C. Halliday, at noon on Saturday, were received only from Messrs H. Johnstone and A. C. Baxter, official National and Labour Party candidates respectively.
