FASHIONS IN MINIATURE

Choosing a spring hat in London is twice the thrill this year, for Paris has sent a collection of doll-sized miniatures to London. The same collections have gone to New York. Milliners and customers alike can have this dainty array of dqjls’ hats sent “ on approval,” and they can be copied in all available straws, felts, bits of ribbons, or lace. For the woman who knows her type they are a boon. It saves hours of trying on, but for those who are casual about their headdress it is likely to be a snare, for quite the wrong hat could be purchased from the tiny model. New hats, Paris decrees, will be high, wide, and expansive. London is making a gentler hat on these lines, for English people haven’t yet followed France's lead in having hairdressers and hatmakers work together, so that the new hat lines suit coiffures.
