WORLD’S NON-STOP RECORD
NEW YORK TO JOHANNESBURG CAPE TOWN, Feb. 11. The Lockheed Constellation aircraft landed at Johannesburg from New York, setting up what is claimed to be a world record for a commercial aircraft—a non-stop flight of 3370
miles between Cairo and N’Changa (Northern Rhodesia). The aircraft covered 9791 miles between New York and Johannesburg. Flying time was 39hr 28min. ■ The plane touched at Shannon. Rome. Athens, Cairo, and N’Changa
