THE PERMITTED OUTPUT ALLIES TO MAKE DECISION LONDON, Jan. 7. The four Allied Powers are now facing a decision which will have greater consequences for Germany than any taken yet says The Times special correspondent. Control machinery is now seeking the precise definition of the German standard of living by fixing the permitted output of steel. It seems clear that German steel j producing capacity will be reduced to less than one-third of what it was in 1929, but even the capacity for producing 6,000,000 tons of steel a year may seem dangerous to some of the Allies.
