PUBLIC LIBRARY WELL PATRONISED Throughout the holidays and right up to the present the Public Library has experienced one of its busiest periods for many years. Bryant) m conversation with a Daily Times reporter yesterday. . , , , The number of books issued by the lending department during the holidays was the highest for this period for many years. Visitors on holiday and local residents also patronised the reading rooms in large numbers, and there were many sightseeing visitors who expressed appreciation of the various collections and of the bright atmosphere of the library and the attention given by the staff. Books for the library have been coming to hand regularly from overseas and stocks in the various departments are being kept well up to date.
