WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
Windsor Park.—Mrs Webster presided. A special welcome was extended to Mrs L. Wilkinson, of Christchurch. An interesting talk on her trip to Palmerston to attend the welcome home to Miss Brenda Bell was given by Mrs Webster. Items were contributed by Misses Alma Johnstone, Anne Koffoed and Joan Nicol, of Dunedin. The competitions resulted: Sand saucer—Mrs Forrest 1, Mrs Wedge 2; brown scones—Miss Wilkinson 1, Mrs Wilkinson 2, Mrs Rowlands 3. The hostesses were Mesdames Craig, Forrest, and Coughlan.
