LOANED TO JAPAN
AMERICAN LIBERTY SHIPS NEW YORK, Jan. 6. The United States, according to the New York Herald Tribune’s Tokio correspondent, will lend Japan 100 Liberty ships and 100 L.S.T’s for the repatriation of Japanese servicemen and civilians from Asia and the Pacific. The Japanese will man the ships.
