QUEENSTOWN TOURNAMENT The following are the detailed results of bowling tournaments held on the Park greens at Queenstown during the New Year holidays. In the play-off Taylor defeated Matheson 15—9. At the conclusion of tire New Year’s Day tournament Mr S. C. K. Smith, on behalf of the visitors, thanked the organisers, Messrs J. Nisbet and V. Scandrett, for the smooth manner in which the tournaments were conducted. He also commended the bowlers on the fine spirit shown. He then handed Messrs Nisbet and Scandrett a monetary gift as a token of appreciation of their service in an honorary capacity. Messrs Nisbet and Scandrett replied. TOURNAMENT AT CROMWELL The Cromwell Bowling Club’s New Year rinks' tournament was conducted in brilliant sunshine.
