FAIR, WITH MODERATE TEMPERATURES Forecast for Otago.—The following official weather forecast for Otago, covering the ensuing 24 hours, w%s issued at 9 p.m. yesterday by the Meteorological Office in Wellington:— Situation.—A weak ridge of high pressure is advancing from the west, and pressure is very low over Tasmania. Forecast to 5 p.m. To-day.—Mod-erate south-westerly winds, later turning to north-westerly; weather fair; temperatures moderate. Further Outlook.—Unsettled. Weather in Dunedin.—Early morning showers were e:> oerieneed in Dunedin yesterday, and light rain fell intermittently throughout the day, with a heavy fall in the evening. There was a light .south-westerly breeze, and temperatures were mild. The barometer showed a rising tendency, the reading at midnight being 29.95 inches (1014 millibars).
