WAR BRIDES

LARGE PARTY ON BOARD TYNDAREUS •(P.A.) AUCKLAND. Jan. 3. More than 40 wives of New Zealand servicemen, the largest number of war brides to arrive at Auckland on one ship, are on the Blue Funnel Line vessel Tyndareus, which is due from Liverpool on January 12. They are destined for many different parts of the Dominion. Some of the wives are accompanied by their husbands and children.

■ The 100 passengers on the ship include some R.N.Z.A.F. perspnnel. The Tyndareus, which was built in 1916. is an 11.361-ton twin-screw steamer.
