Duties include the general management of the institution (both school and house sections) and the organisation of suitable activities as part of the training programme. Actual teaching duties are not required to be performed, but teaching experience would be regarded as a qualification. In addition to good educational attainment and organising ability a knowledge of modern methods of dealing with problems of backwardness and experience in the control of girls is essential. Applicants should be temperamentally suited to this work. The position will be graded in the general division, salary within a range of £3BO to £435 p.a. according to qualifications and experience, plus £6 10s C.O.L. bonus. A deduction of £45 p.a. will be made for board and quarters.
